Loving a person and being in love with them are two very different things. When you love a person, you want to see them occasionally, you may buy them a birthday gift, call them from time to time. But it isn’t something you NEED to do everyday. What I mean is, you don’t feel empty or sad if you aren’t with them every second.

But what about when you are in love? Ah, that’s totally different. Remember that feeling of euphoria? And you not only want to spend every minute you can with that special someone, you almost feel as if you can’t breathe if you are denied the opportunity. You strive to do things for them and with them daily – constantly even.

So, where are you in your walk with Jesus? As Christians, we all know that we love the Lord. But are we truly in love with Him? Do we feel as though we simply can’t take another breath without Him right next to us? And if our answer is yes, do we live by that answer? Do we go out of our way everyday to do something that God calls us to do? Big or small, when He calls us, He expects obedience. Do we heed that call? Or do we say, “I’m too busy,” or “I could never do that,” etc. Cold, hot, or lukewarm in our zeal and love for Christ, it will show and be known by the way we live our lives.

What does your life say?
